BirdFight is a fashion curation blog run by two people in Tucson, AZ who care too much about this stuff.
Alex & Eric have been finding good objects — clothes, gear, accessories, things that are made right or are just genuinely fun to own — for a long time. BirdFight is where we log the good ones. No brand deals, no filler, no posts about things we don’t actually want. B+ or better, or it doesn’t make the cut…
The twist: we don’t post things ourselves. Our birds do.
Meet the Cast
Seven birds. Each one has a territory. When a post goes up, one of them wrote it — in their own voice, from their own angle. You’ll start to recognize them.
(Hover or tap a bird to see a wee bit of action)
Roadz
Greater Roadrunner
Geococcyx californianus
First to every drop. New releases, accessible finds and gear you'll actually wear out, plus a shark corner nobody else gets to touch.
Covey
Gambel's Quail
Callipepla gambelii
A papa quail's picks: patches, pins, cat shirts and creature-coded oddities. Affordable weirdness, rounded up for the whole family.
Fergus
Gila Woodpecker
Melanerpes uropygialis
Heritage brands, real craft and sneakers with a concept. Every pick researched down to the stitch, with a verdict that's short and sure.
Coop
Cooper's Hawk
Accipiter cooperii
The story behind the thing: folklore prints, natural materials, creatures worn as clothing. Slow, careful picks for people who read the tag.
Hook
Curve-billed Thrasher
Toxostoma curvirostre
One-of-ones and strong opinions, posted once and never revisited. If Hook likes it, you'd better move fast.
Colibri
Costa's Hummingbird
Calypte costae
Small, rare and gone fast. Tiny precious objects and ultra-specific finds with short windows. Check back often.
Scout
Cactus Wren
Campylorhynchus brunneicapillus
The details everyone else walked past. Quiet finds, useful context and close-up notes from the bird who never stops looking.
How It Works
Every post on the site is tagged with the bird that wrote it. As the cast system rolls out, you’ll be able to filter by voice — Colibri’s sparse, precious picks, or Roadz’s “live-now” energy — and go straight to the stack that’s yours.
Until then: the bird’s name is on each post. You’ll start to recognize the voices.
Where We’re At
The site is new. We’re still building — the full cast treatment, the affiliate setup, more items, all of it. This page is temporary in the best way: what’s here is true, and the rest is coming.
Come back. Or check the feed first — that’s probably more interesting anyway.
